As a community zoo, we thrive through generous volunteers donating their time and talents. We depend on such volunteers to assist with site maintenance and other activities at the zoo. After an initial trial day and interview to ensure we mutually are correct for each other, volunteers assist with horticulture, animal husbandry, site maintenance and many other aspects of the working zoo day.
All volunteers must be 16 years or older. We have a variety of industrial placement opportunities ranging from one to three months in duration. All placements include weekend work.
